Small Town Life
Community, that is one way to describe my life here in Mooresville. I have a great community of neighbors. It a small apartment set that brings people of all backgrounds together. We are definitely enjoying our peaceful enjoyment. Winter brought an ice storm where I was stuck in the house for a week straight. I opened my door during this horrible storm and the cars were covered in a ice that seemed unbreakable. I thought” I have to break out of here” I went to the task of chipping away at the two inch thick layer of ice that had engulfed my car, three ice scrapers later I was free ,now to find something to do. So I ventured out onto 67 and the only place open; good old Walmart. I walked the isles, looking at cd’s, movies, and the many other oddities that Walmart had to offer. I was in need of a new ice scraper because my previous three were broken during my excavation of my car. Why I had three ice scrapers I’ll never know, but it was handy.
Will You Marry Me?
Will you marry me?
“Will you marry me?” Those four simple words every girl wants to hear. Not simple at all, we want to hear those words but what we really want 90% of the time is for the guy to change, and inevitably he will change after the engagement hell want to be with us more; spend his every waking moment catering to our needs, his sexual desire will increase, he’ll stop everything else in his life and only focus on what I want and my desires, he will instantly turn to our handsome dreamy what we have always wanted into Prince Charming. Get out of the fantasy world ladies he is not going to change. If he plays video games all day he is still going to play video games all day. If he picks his nose he is still going to pick his nose things will not change just because he has decided that he wants to spend the rest of his life with you. The engagement is this your man decides hey I love every part of her even her bad sides and I can deal with that so he proposes and we inside get that overwhelming feeling of joy because now that he has proposed hell become the man we want or we will get that fantasy dream life we have always wanted. Well this is not what engagement is it is not an instantly changing factor for the man. It is a beginning for a new chapter in your life.
I also want to address you newly dating gals that are with a man for a few months and begin that dream relationship cycle when we try on wedding rings and want to go wedding dress shopping just for the fun of it, I too have fallen into this trap recently my dear friend had the dream wedding fantasy and I encouraged it she tried on a $15,000 wedding ring now she has that big beautiful diamond in her mind and that is how much her man loves her but in all reality she is not Kim Kardashian and we are not in LA he will probably need a layaway plan and the ring will probably cost under $ 1,000. I am not a dream crushing gal I have all these dreams but when they come out of my friends mouths instead of mine I think this girl must be crazy, I become the rational one. Why would you want to be engaged when there are ten things wrong with your relationship or you don’t know very much about the guy? What is waiting going to kill you? It’s not really. Get to know the guy, love him for his faults don’t compare him to Prince Charming because he will not measure up. He is not perfect neither are you!

For all you Max Lucado fans this is the book for you. Max’s insight on living in a world searching for significance has reached a new beginning. The questions we all have about our lives. What the Bible says about Relationships, Feelings, and The Hereafter is summed up in this book. Fans have written Max Lucado over the years and he has compiled them and with God’s leading has answered them to the best of his ability. This is a great book if you are searching for answers.
I personally have not read many of Max Lucado’s books but I have heard quotes one of my favorites is; “Hide your heart so deep in God, that a man has to seek Him to find you” I am a single woman striving after God’s heart and this quote means a lot to me. I want a man who is also striving after God’s heart. Even though I have not read many of his books I really enjoyed this one. There are scriptures backing up his answers. Some of the questions did not apply to my life, but recently I have encountered some non Christians who have some of these same questions and I am gaining knowledge in how to answer those using biblical answers.
The book is written in a question and answer format which allows the reader to engage fully in the response. My goal is to use this book as a daily devotional diving into a deeper study with these questions. I recommend this book as an insight on God’s will for your life. As an aspiring writer Max’s insights on life speak to me and I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.
